So, I have finally decided to jump head first into the "Blog-World" and I hope to make this a regular occurrence. I don't yet know what path this blog will take, but welcome you into my thoughts and experiences.
I was off work today, and there happened to be a marathon on A&E of the show, "Hoarders." I, like most others, do not have to have things perfectly clean, but prefer things tidy, in other words, live-able. After about two and a half hours of watching the show, the hoarders create this environment that is not live-able, but they themselves struggle with how things are... they desire a change, but did not know how to make that change to control the desire that was inside them to cling to items, whether it be food, items from junk yards, family items, etc.
One of the sad things about it was that the young children in these homes begin to show signs of hoarding as well as that is all they have observed. It is often harder for these children as their parents, who struggle with the same issues, are not well enough to continue making a change with their own habits in order to set an example for their children.
Although many of them created positive changes during the show, it was always a question as to whether or not they would continue to make positive changes in their life without the support of the show...
